Speaking item type require you to respond orally using fluent speech, correct intonation, stress and pronunciation that are easily understandable to most regular speakers of the language.
Writing item types require you to write a response in standard academic. English using correct grammar and spelling. PTE Academic recognize English spelling conventions from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada.
Reading item types require you to understand an authentic text from an academic source. Authentic texts about academic subjects in the humanities, natural sciences or social sciences are presented.
Listening tests your ability to understand spoken English in an academic environment. Listening item types require you to understand an audio or video recording of an authentic lecture, presentation or dialouge from an academic source.
The cost of the exam is $800.
At least, 6-8 weeks training is recommended for individuals who sit for an exam. It takes time to develop the skills and use of appropriate vocabulary for note-taking and follow the right strategies to crack the exam. Whilst NAATI encourages candidates to practice, there is NO mandatory training prior to sitting a CCL test.
In a year, exam is set to organise six times on March, May, June, August, October and December.

Applications to sit a CCL Test must be submitted online via the NAATI website. Individuals will also need to attach a passport photograph and a scan of an appropriate identity document (e.g. passport) to apply. CCL tests are marked by at least two trained examiners
You will be judged on your ability to transfer the meaning between two languages. You will be marked for your style, clarity and successful translation between the languages. You will lose marks for omission or addition of new ideas while translating.
In case you miss out on some dialogs,you can ask the instructor to replay the recordings. In this case, a total number of 2 repeats will be allowed for the entire test. If you translate wrong and wish to correct it, you must say “Sorry, Correction” before changing to the corrected word.
